I have an MacBook Air 15 M2 with macOS Sonoma 14.5 installed. Recently I got an Philips 499P9 wide screen in my office. Until now I have used the USB-C to USB-C cable that was included, but at the highest resolution I only get 30 Hz. I did some research and found out I could use a DisplayPort to USB-C cable to get higher refresh rate, so I purchased this from Belkin: https://www.belkin.com/ca/usb-c-to-displayport-1.4-cable/AVC014bt2MBK.html

But the issue is that when I use this cable, the monitor is just black and says that I need to check the connection between the monitor and laptop.

Is there anyone else have had similar issues and found a solution?
