Or should i get an iMac or build a hackintosh?
I want to develop games for iOS platforms like iPad 2 onwards and iPhone 5 onwards, mainly i will be using Unity3D as the engine and 3DS Max for Rigging/modelling/animation(noob question, but what is the average polycount for a character in iOS games)
About testing my games, should i test it on the Mac or on an iPad?

I'm no developer by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm guessing that with the coding and graphics involved, you'd want as much screen real estate as possible.

I would imagine that your best bet would be the imac for screen real estate and basically more bang for your buck processor and GPU wise.

I'd imagine that testing them on an iOS device is pretty much mandatory if you expect then to get into the App Store.

Hmmm.
Should i get Mac Mini then? It seems to be the cheapest of the lot and attach it to the 24" 1080p Dell that i have?
Also whatever Mac i buy it will be an iOS game development only machine since the iOS sdk only supports Mac OS.
I have a Windows based gaming desktop for gaming and other computing tasks
Also will i be alright with a dual core i5 or do i need an i7 Quad core? For the modelling & animating point of view
