My new 2020 MacBook Air arrived via Fedex today. Its my first new computer in a decade because my old MacBook Pro was just doing fine until this year.

Suggestions on peripherals? I would like to use my old mouse, but the new computer has the thunder ports. I'm not a big fan of wireless mouses.

Also any suggestions on an ad blocker for Safari?

I haven't seen any USB-C mice, so you would need a USB C to A adapter.

Wirecutter has some good review summaries:

This VAVA hub for $20 has USB A ports, so you can plug in a mouse, external DVD, as well as port for SD/microSD card, etc. In this case you don't need the individual adapters. Also has an HDMI port to connect an external monitor.
