I am planning on getting the macbook air 13" 4gb of ram, 128gb of storage
I wanted your opinion on somethings:
1) is it worth getting a refurb from last year so I can get the larger HD? Is the performance *that* much better?
2) I have a 35gb iTunes library, that is 2 years old that expands fairly steadily. Since this is my primary computer I would need to keep all my content on this. Providing I cap my library at 60gb (more than manageable), get microsoft office, store around 7000 pictures how much space do I have for documents?
3) Does anyone know of any cool accessories/cases? thanksss

1) if your planning on holding onto the MBA for a while and it's your primary machine, go for a 2011 model
2) 60gb iTunes, 10 gb system, 10gb applications, 10-15gb photos = 90 - 95 Gb. Within the 128gb capacity
3) etsy.com = handmade accessories just search for MacBook air 11". Boutique made to order cases and decals of all shapes and sizes if you really want to be an individual ;) :)

thanks so much! Does etsy ship to canada? i was just checking out all the cool stickers! I love the apple juice box! <(") <-penguin lol

other opinions?

Well most of the sellers on there do ship to Ireland, so if they ship to this third world bankrupt country they should ship to Canada ;) :)

Yeah when I got mine I thought 128gb would be a problem but it turns out it's more than enough got around 50gb free with a 35gb iTunes library!

If it matters...

The refurbish MBA may come with the old Toshiba SSD (slower performance), the new Samsung SSD were installed Approx March 2011

Go to Apple icon in Finder, click on "about this Mac"... click on MORE INFO on older OS sysytem... on Lion click SYSTEM REPORT... then in the LEFT COLUM... click on SERIAL ATA...

The faster SSD will read SM128C, the slower SSD will read TS128C...

The only thing that the Toshiba is slower than Samsung is when you have HUGE queue of random data reading (well, on the paper, haven't done any real world test). This will probably benefit those who use MBA for audio productions.

Other than that, both should have similar performance.
