Ok so on macrumors you always here of people who return there MBA because of the SSD or display, Yet I have not seen a single refurb. How come? Apple has to refurbish those... so where are they? Same with the iPad 2. Where are they. Lots of people are returning them because of backlight bleeding.
APPLE I want a refurb! how much longer? (do you think)

Refurbs usually don't show up for a few months after the product initially comes out. I guess the first round of returns that get refurbished are used as replacements possibly?

Exactly. The flow of refurbs is used first to build the inventory for warranty swapouts so new units don't have to be diverted to this purpose. Once that inventory is built, then refurbs are made available on store.apple.com

In the case of the original ipad, it took several months before refurbs were available. As miles01110 mentions, the first trickles tend to get snapped up quickly.

I have no idea how long until 2011 MBA's would show up.

If history is any guide, the 2010 MacBook Air was released in October, and refurbished units first started appearing the day after Christmas. Reliable supplies started coming in about a month after that.
