Is there any way to get a resolution of 1920x1080 on a 11 MacBook air hooked up to a Samsung monitor? My 2011 MacBook air says max resolution 1300x700 and the text is kind of blurry. This is my monitor http://reviews.bestbuy.com/3545/2099051/samsung-27-led-monitor-black-reviews/reviews.htm Thanks.

And 1920 x 1080 pixel on a 27" might not really look that good, as other displays of that size go up to 2360 x 1440 pixel.

You have MirrorDisplays unchecked?
Have you looked at SwitchResX yet?
System Preferences > Displays >> Arrangement >>> Mirror Displays (but know, that the display with the lowest resolution determines the maximum resolution used on both, thus one display will have a lower than native resolution, except when both displays have the same native resolution)

Yes I do have mirror displays turned on. Ill adjust the setting when I get home and see how it looks. Thanks.
