Macbook Air Rev A SSD/HD

I have a Rev A Macbook Air, the hard disk controller seems to have gone bad. I was about to upgrade it to an SSD. Now, I have an extra SSD and a computer that I'm booting off of USB.

Does anyone know if the controller can be replaced or do I need a whole new logic board?

If not, if you are interested in my new in the box SSD. Here's the listing.
