I have a macbook air and I am connecting from another machine using bluetooth SPP (serial port profile). I can transfer files using this - but the maximum baud rate it will let me set in ZTerm is 230400.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get faster serial port baud rates on the MacBook Air?

It depends on the driver. The maximum that I know of is 921k. Also I've seen 460k, both multiples of 230k. Those numbers are for USB adapters. No idea if there is a limitation in Bluetooth.
