10 days ago I took my MBA with it's failed 128GB SSD to an authorised reseller. I called up today and they quoted a repair time of up to 4 weeks due to Apple replacing so many SSDs.

Has anyone had their's replaced at an Apple Retail Store yet? Wondering if it would be worth taking it to an Apple store rather than a reseller as 4 weeks is ridiculous.

I'm also wondering how long it's going to take at an official Apple Store. Have you had a chance to call your local store and ask?

I need my Mac for school and work, so I can't give it up for more than a weekend at a time.

I took mine into the Genius Bar this morning and was told that the replacement SSDs were backordered (at this one store) until 10/30, but should be in by then. "Should" is the operative word.

I guess every store is different. Trick or treat!
