These are the only two things anyone is talking about for pages and pages and pages and pages.

How are the actual majority of MacBook owners supposed to find any useful information with this flood of redundant threads?

This thread isn't exactly useful. Macrumors has guides up at the top and this forum is full of knowledgeable people willing to answer any question you have, all you have to do is post a question. Best of luck with what your looking for
