MacBook Air SuperDrive superslow?

Hey guys,

I have the MBAir SuperDrive (DVDRW) model GX30N. I'm copying files from the dvd drive to my MB and iStats report a reading rate of 3MB per second while copying DVDs and Dual Layers.

Isn't it too slow?

Edit: Now it went up to 4.88MB/s, still seems way too slow... It's taking 48 minutes to copy 8gb.

well im not surprised apples superdrive is a pice of ****, when i used to have a MBA i had one, but learned thats it better to have digital copies vs dvds or cds because reading speed is really slow.
