Macbook Air vs iPad 2

Hi, and thank you for coming. I currently have an iMac, iPad, and iPhone. So does my dad. Here is my question. for high school, is it worth splurging for a MacBook Air if I am going to get the iPad 2? Do you think the iPad 2 would be better for a 9th grader than a MacBook Air? I already have an iPad and iMac, but will be making a lot of money over the summer, and of course I'll have to reward myself. Thanks in advance.

you plan on selling your ipad? if yes, then yes get the ipad2 and just be done with it and save your money. you already have an imac and as a highschool student you don't have to take a laptop to school everyday so it would just be a waste of money. you don't need the ipad2 either but it'll just be a reward for you since you worked the whole summer
