Macbook Air w/ OS X Yosemite v 10.10.2 and external drives larger than 2TB.

I'm trying to find out if my mid-2011 13-inch Macbook Air running OS X Yosemite v 10.10.2 & Windows 7 via bootcamp can recognize external drives larger than 2TB? I'm looking to purchase a couple of 4TB external drives for storage and backups, but I want to make sure my computer can recognize them as being 4TB in size. Thanks.
