Hi!

I have the latest gen macbook air. When i use it in the bookarc in upright position the lid opens. It´s like the magnet is to weak. Any macbook air/bookarc owners with this issue?

Kind regards from a new forum member.

I don't have the bookarc, but I do have the same problem with weak (or misplaced?) magnets. When carrying the air around with its "thick" end pointing down, I do get a small gap between the base and the lid, and there is no resistance when trying to open the lid except from gravity.

As it's my work laptop, and I'm soon to change job anyway, I haven't cared enough to investigate.

Okay! Do you think it's eligible for a repair/swap thru the warranty? Do Apple acknowledge this?

Can you just take it to an Apple Store and have them check it out?

I live in Sweden, there is no Apple Store here yet. There is on the other hand a premium reseller in town. But they are a bunch of losers, no knowledge what so ever, but I think I´m going to drop by there sometime soon. I was just wondering if someone had tried to get it repaired before.
