Macbook Air with Haswell

hello there nation! i am about to but my first mac ever. And that would be the new macbook air with haswell chip 13''.
I have one and only question. As i like to play music, connect my laptops etc to mixers, should i have any problem to do that with my new macbook ?
I mean, does anyone know if that "headphone jack port" is able to be connected with a 3''5 jack to RCA cable and into the mixer ? Is that even possible ? Will i have any sound loss or quality loss ?
Is that headphone Jack also able for audio in/out ?
