macbook airport slow

I have a core 2 duo black macbook that is right at two years old.

it has been running crazy slow.

i just did a fresh install...deleted everything and reinstalled osx 10.5.6

i have done all software updates reinstalled all software and updates.

on two different networks seems to be running slow over wireless.

i have 2gb ram.
2.0ghz
200gb hd with 149 gb free.


any ideas?

runs slow when opening adium, safari beta 4, and mozilla. will get the apple wheel.

2 things, either the AirPort is acting up or it has something to do with your network. Seeing how you did a reinstall, that rules out software. Have you tried to connect using ethernet and seeing if the problems still occur? Have you power cycled your modem/router?

i feel it is my network....through the actiontech modem...went to another house and could connect and fly on a time capsule.

See if there is a firmware you can update, if not, call up your ISP and ask for a modem exchange. Is there anything wrong with your connection?
