I have read a heap of threads about Airport dropping connections after sleep etc and had hoped that after 10.5.3 that my newly beloved MacBook would finally learn to walk after crawling around with inadequate WiFi with earlier versions of Leopard.
I must admit my main issue is connecting to the network at log on or after sleep, when Airport finally logs on to it, connection is rock solid. What frustrates me is the "None of your preferred networks are available" screen which clearly shows my Netgear router... When I do try and connect, its a lucky dip as to how many times it takes to connect (timeout after timeout after timeout).
The only way I can get a rock solid connection is to attatch my airport express to my DG834PN ADSL modem/router and have two wireless and no AirTunes.
Anoying thing is, my crappy old almost dead Dell works beautifully!
Any ideas of how to fix it (other than going out and buying an Airport base station or timecapsule).
Oh how I wish Apple would make us an ADSL2 modem/router/timecapsule. Then I'd be set!
