Macbook Air's Camera is so bad...what's up

Does anyone have information or a fix for the FaceTIme camera in the new MacBook Air? The specs are the same as for the MacBook Pro, but the quality of the image is really bad--shimmery and poorly defined...very weird...wondering whether anyone has a fix?
