Well, it happened. My 2008 Macbook Unibody got treated with some apple juice courtesy of my little daughter. I switched it off, dried it, opened it up, cleaned all visible spills, cleaned the sticky keys. Everything works as usual, except the battery. When I start up my computer, the battery icon first shows black X, than it turns to battery no available sign and then shows charging and 0%. I have replaced the battery, but nothing has changed. Took my computer to Apple, but they are charging 700$ for repairs.
I have read that the logic board could get fried, but I guess the machine itself wouldn't start up than, would it? Coconut battery shows 0 mAh to every category for both batteries. I don't know what to do. Not ready to buy a new mac at this moment and not ready to pay 700$ to repair my 4-years old machine either.
