Hi, I just got a new toshiba LED tv. My macbook, which has always connected nicely to my old LCD tv via mini-to-hdmi cable now won't display on the new tv. The new tv recognizes a signal but shows a picture of space/the universe instead of what is showing on the macbook screen. I have no clue why it suddenly won't work. Do I need a different cable. Or to update some driver?? Thanks!!

It works. You just see an extended desktop, drag a window to the right to see it on the TV.
System Preferences > Displays >> Arrangement >>> Mirror Displays (but know, that the display with the lowest resolution determines the maximum resolution used on both, thus one display will have a lower than native resolution, except when both displays have the same native resolution)
