All,

I purchased a macbook aluminum towards the end of 2008. I upgraded the OS to snow leopard and now to lion. Ever since I upgraded to snow leopard I have noticed that my macbook feels like it's running hotter. I think it may have gotten a little better in lion. According to istat, my cpu usually starts around 32 C upon boot up and very quickly gets up to around 55 C. When I'm doing more intensive tasks the temperature ranges from 64 - 70 C. I was wondering if you think these temperatures seemed rather high.

Thanks for the help

ok, thanks. Why do you think the temperature increased though when I upgraded from leopard to snow leopard. I used to be consistently in the 50 degree C range...Now I am about 10 degrees C warmer on average.

THanks,
