Hey guys.I purchased a macbook late 2008 aluminum.I can't get apple care for it.Plain and simple.Should i sell it and purchase a white unibody.Am i talking a big risk not having Apple care? Thanks for the advice in advance.

if it doesn't have any problems, then keep it, it's not worth selling it and taking a loss if there is nothing wrong with it. Most likely you won't have any problems, and if you do then you can try to fix them your self or just get the new computer then.

AppleCare is good when you are working with your computer and can't stay one day without. It's still a little bit expensive though. In most other cases, you will be fine with you alu macbook, which is a rare model now... ;)

Wow thanks for the quick replies.I love it but i am walking on egg shells around it.I look like i am in the bomb squad when i handle it.I'll keep it.Thanks again :)

any computer is really a risk, but sometimes you just gotta make a choice and live with that choice.
Best thing that happens computer lives long healthy life.

Not so great thing. Computer poops out on you and you have to fix it, or just put it on ebay.
