Hello, is there and option to connect 2 external monitors (1 is only HDMI, second is USB-C and HDMI) using 1 cable going to Macbook?
Is there some cheap and reliable option. I tried dongle from my old 16" Intel Macbook (It has HDMI and USB-C, but it does not work).
Maybe some cheap docking station? I read you have to instal display link etc... is it necessary even in M4pro?

You have an M4 Pro MacBook Pro? Assuming that's true, to do two monitors with a single cable you need a Thunderbolt 4 or 5 dock. You don't need DisplayLink (again if you have an M4 Pro). The cheap options don't work on Mac because Apple can't be bothered to support MST, so you have to pony up for a Thunderbolt dock.

Thank you. So I need to buy at least thunderbolt 4 dock?I looked at those docks. There are thunderbolt 3 docks for good price, however thunderbolt 4 and 5 are really pricey.
Anyone is using this and can confirm?
I don’t want to buy expensive thunderbolt 4option to install Display Link, which should work even with thunderbolt 3 docks and Macbook.

I want solution like here.

Yes TB3 should work. And you don't need DisplayLink if you have an M4 Pro.

So I bought this one and works perfectly. for 2x 4K monitors - 1 runs over HDMI, another one over Thunderbolt on the dock. Just 1 cable to Macbook as I needed.
Power delivery is 60w which is less and when Macbook is maxed, it is not enough. But I read about problems with battery, when not charged over magsafe, so I use Magsafe anyway, when doing rendering etc.
Price around 100Eur in my country.
