macbook and 20" monitor or macbook pro

hey all,

I am going to college next year and wanted to know what would be a better purchase. Should I purchase a loaded macbook and the 20" apple cinema display or a loaded 15" macbook pro?

What would you suggest?

Depends on your uses really. For my personal use I do have a macbook and a 20 inch screen and I see no benefit to moving towards the pro models.

EDIT: Why does that B not stay a B?

EDIT2: OK WTF, three times that B in MB auto correct to b, then I added the edit above and it stays a B just to make me look stoopider than I is.

What do you need the computer for? Graphic work? Games? Internet Browsing? Making others jealous?

while carrying a laptop to class, it helps to have a smaller computer, even if it is only an inch less wide and deep. the "desk" area on which you type is really small, and i don't know how people use macbook pros (macbooks pro?) comfortably. i say get the macbook (every bit of portability helps) with the 20" external. 1680x1050 ftw!
