I've noticed some people have posted questions regarding their PowerPC-based laptops in other forums, for example the Mac Basics forum. I think this might be due to the fact that the name of the forum doesn't include PowerBooks and iBooks.

For example, we have:

Mac Pro & Power Mac
iMac, eMac, Mac Mini
MacBook & MacBook Pro

Why not split the laptop forum into two separate forums and include PowerPC-based Mac models in the name:

MacBook & iBook (discuss Apple's portable consumer Macs)
MacBook Pro & PowerBook (discuss Apple's portable pro Macs)

That makes more sense to me and it would keep machine-specific questions in the proper forum. If that's too complicated, maybe just change the name of the current forum:

MacBook, MacBook Pro, PowerBook, iBook

What do you think?

I think the caption makes it perfectly clear:

apple laptops, including older models (iBook, PowerBook)

It's not perfectly clear to everybody, I suspect. Some people overlook the small print. The other forums clearly have machine models listed in bold in the name. The MacBook & MacBook Pro forum doesn't.

It's OK if people post questions about their MacBooks or other Mac models in the Mac Basics and Help forum. When people (especially Newbies) aren't sure where to post, they often post there, since it's a catch-all category.
