Macbook and MBP gut swap

I have a 2009 macbook pro 13.3 2.4 Duo 2 Core, that the screen is broken and its heavily banged up. i found a 2010 white Macbook that has water damage and wont turn on. Can i replace the gut on the white macbook with my macbook pro? would this work? Thx
