Macbook and USB Flash Drives

Hi there, i have a SD card and a USB Flash Drive which is formatted in MS DOS mode.

It works fine on PC computers, i can read and write
however, when i plug it into my mac, it can only READ but NOT WRITE.

What do i do?

Are you sure you didn't format it in NTFS? OSX can't write to NTFS, just read it.

nope under disk utility it says MS dos (fat 16)
