I bought one of the new Penryn MBs, having used a HP notebook for 2+ years. Before buying a MB, I would recommend that you think about what websites you visit for purposes of multimedia and make sure that the MB is supported. A couple of examples to show what I mean. I subscribe to www.cycling.tv which presents live/real time and archived professional cycling races from around the world. The site does not support Mac for it's premium (pay) channel presentations. A second example is Rhapsody To Go which allows me to download (without having to buy) music to an mp3 player. Listening to Rhapsody on line can be done with the MB, but the To Go feature is not supported.
For me, I knew that cycling.tv did not support Mac, but Rhapsody To Go is something I became interested in after I bought the MB. Anyway, on line multimedia use is something you might want to think about, particularly if you want to use the MB for everything and retire your old notebook.
