Just recently my MacBook started making this terrible beeping noise randomly. It has nothing to do with speakers because when the sound is all the way off it still makes the noise! I really have no idea what could be causing it! Does anyone have any suggestions for me to get rid of the noise? I have a 1 year old MacBook with OSX. Thanks!

Options that might be causing the problem.
System prefs > Date & Time > Announce the time. 1/4 hour, 1/2 hour each hour.
System Prefs > Universal Access > Voice Over
A new widget on the dashboard.
