So over the past year I've noticed my Macbook Battery has been going downhill in terms of battery life (I've had it just over 3 years) and recently the it stopped charging for periods of time. When this happened the LED on the Magsafe charger would not light up. This was easily fixed by unplugging the charger and plugging it back in. Then the problem became more apparent and it stopped charging completely when the macbook was shut. So I kept it on and open and would charge it but recently it stopped charging completely. I tried resetting the SMC and it did not help. Last time I checked my battery cycle count it was 1100 or so. Is it just a matter of a faulty battery/charger (I've ordered a new one of each) or does it sound like a bigger issue. The batter indicator light still blinks when I click on it.

your past 1000 cycles, that means your battery life begins to die exponentially, it most likely just needs to be replaced. :apple:
