I've got an odd problem with a Macbook... the battery seems fine in normal use, but put it to sleep and it will drain within an hour.

Has anyone come across this?

Well it will naturally drain of it's own accord when it's sleeping, however it shouldn't be draining that fast.

Are you sure it's properly asleep? Are the fans still going or something?

Like Osarkon I'm wondering if it is properly asleep.

How much battery do you usually have left when this is happening?

If I put it to sleep with an absolutely full battery for 1 hour, and then wake it, it says "you are running on reserve power" and then dies. It is draining far faster when asleep than when awake - so it's not just that it isn't sleeping. I have tried resetting the power management.

Not sure what else to suggest here then if you've reset the Power Management. Do you have AppleCare?

No but it is still in warranty - the battery was only replaced for a different problem two weeks ago. I was hoping to avoid another trip all the way to the Apple Store. I hope this does not turn out to be a more fundamental problem that is making the Macbook kill its batteries...
