Hi

I have an 18 month old Aluminium Macbook and when the battery level goes down to 30 - 40% it switches itself off / shuts down.
Could this just be battery failure and would Apple do anything about replacing the battery at all?
Any help / ideas please...many thanks, Nick

You could try calibrating it once or twice and see, if the Check Battery message changes.

You could also try contact Apple, but as you have more than 300 cycles, you might be out of luck.
