Macbook battery is cracked... dangerous?

The corner of my Macbook battery has cracked, exposing a little of what's inside. Is this dangerous or is it something that can safely be ignored?

Nope, no danger.

It is just the outer case, the battery is well protected.

A little hot glue or drop (just a tiny drop) of epoxy will fix that.
