Macbook battery issue.. please please help!

Okay i have a Macbook A1278 13 inch unibody. I brought it 2nd hand. It has a battery issue. It works completely fine when plugged in.. But switches off immediatley when Masafe pulled out. The Magsafe charges my bros Macbook... I brought a new battery.. that didnt hold charge. On the icon it says battery is not charging. The Macbook is aware of the battery. Once a few months ago it worked off battery for a day.. and then stopped working! Also.. I can take the battery completley out and it'll run fine off the charger


Please help... whats wrong? Thanks

Seems like a logic board problem to me.

You bought a new battery? You do realize that defective batteries are covered under warranty, right?

Why don't you give Apple a call or stop by an Apple Store?
They're #1 in customer satisfaction for a reason.

i'm out of my 1 year (by about 6 months)... are you sure its a logic board issue.. not battery connector? When I pull out the magsafe and the macbook shutsdown.. when i stick the magsafe back in it goes orange
