Hi all. A while ago I had been using my Early 2008 white MacBook and then put it to sleep. After a week or two I started it up not realising it was in sleep mode previously. What generally happens in those cases is that the computer will wake up upon pressing the power button with a white overlay of the screen just before it went to sleep with a progress bar on the bottom. After a short while it will be back to normal and can be used. However this time around, the battery wouldn't hold a charge at all. I've tried resetting SMC and the PRAM, but it's of no use whatsoever. I have even tried keeping the computer plugged in all night to my MacBook Pro's 85W charger. The computer acknowledges the battery but simply says the battery is not charging. Waking from sleep or starting up will cause the white light to blink a few times before the computer does anything. If I don't have the battery inserted the computer will start right up, but simply says the battery is not available. Is there any way to bring the battery back to life without buying a new one? Thanks!
