Hi There,
My girlfriends MacBook battery has all of a sudden stopped charging. She has had the MacBook since 2006. Below is the MacBook specification and battery information from system profiler.
The cycle count is only 77. Is that good or bad? I understand batteries are consumables but this MacBook hasnt been greatly used since finishing University in 2007.
I have reset the SMC and re-seated the battery. When I press the button on the outside of the battery none of the lights light up. I have also tried my Dads MacBook battery in the machine and it works. The MacBook is running Leopard and has all the recent updates.
Im going to give Apple tech support a call tonight. Is there anything else I can try? I dont have Apple Care for the MacBook.
Thanks,
Dan
