MacBook Battery problem? (2007)

I got a 2007 model Macbook, ive been using leopard since i got it, recently upgraded to snow leopard and my battery is never in track with the actual charge, when i take my Magsafe charger out it lags for like a minute or two before the battery changes from the charge sign to the normal battery level.

Any ideas as to what is wrong? ive tried calibrating it, completely draining it of battery but it hasnt worked...
