Macbook battery stuck but not swollen

My macbook circa late 2008 has its battery stuck. It is not swollen. It is not under warranty or apple care. I tried removing it and somehow got it part in and part out. Photo attached. Thanks!

Looks like the battery is bent . Best thing to try is getting it in and then back out!

Got an Apple Store nearby? I am afraid to tell you based on pictures and risk you breaking your machine! Bring it to them and ask them to remove it!

I don't care if I break it. It's old and needs replacing. I just want it to last another month or so.
