My macbook circa late 2008 has its battery stuck. It is not swollen. It is not under warranty or apple care. I tried removing it and somehow got it part in and part out. Photo attached. Thanks!

Looks like the battery is bent :eek:. Best thing to try is getting it in and then back out!
 
Thanks. I've attached another photo. The latch is up. Any advice on how to get it back in before taking it out (if that's what I should do). Thank you!!!

Got an Apple Store nearby? I am afraid to tell you based on pictures and risk you breaking your machine! Bring it to them and ask them to remove it!
 
I don't care if I break it. It's old and needs replacing. I just want it to last another month or so.
