Is this normal? Will Apple give me a new battery? My battery is at 47% capacity after 10 battery-loadcycles.

They will surely replace it. I complained because mine was at 90% after less than a year, and they replaced it free.

My battery on my 12 inch G4 Powerbook is about 3 months of use old, probably 5 months of life old. My capacity of the battery (as reported by CoconutBattery) is 100%. Is this normal, or is there something wrong with the reporting of the program?

It appears that it was a fluke reading. The capacity is back up to 97% on coconut battery... However, I too am interested in how to properly take care of my battery to preserve its life for as long as I can! Do tell if you know!

What I find weird with coconut is that my battery on my macbook says

'original battery capacity' 5200 mAh
'current battery capacity' 5403 mAh

???

How is that possible
