I have a macbook late 2008 "Collectors item"
And ive been noticeing that the blacks look very grey.
And yea my friend got the new white macbook witch has the same video graphics card, but the colors are way more crisp and clear.
Also the blacks are way more.. Black.
Ive callibrated it several times both with apple's included calibration and with SuperCal.
Also downloaded famous macbook profiles n stuff.

Any ideas? can i get it returned for this even though i dont have apple care?

It's not a fault of the hardware. Different generation MacBook's have different screens and comparing them wouldn't be a fair comparison. Unfortunately this is something you wouldn't be able to bring to Apple for repair because there isn't anything wrong with it.

One of the several faults of the 1st gen aluminum MB. Two of my siblings have them and their screens pale in comparison to mine when looking at them side by side. They changed the panel about a month before releasing the 13" MBP, but I take it you bought yours before then.

You're just stuck with it. Sucks. Sorry.
