Macbook Brand New Battery: Not Charging

Today I got a brand new battery for christmas replacing my dead one (dead for over a year). I stuck it in, and the charging light doesnt go on. It now says the battery is not charging at the top. Fail much. ? Help?:mad:

Yes, Ive RESET THE PRAM
Yes, IT HAS 50% charge on it from the factory.
YES, Ive tried other chargers.
 
Call AppleCare or if you are nearby to an Apple Store schedule an appointment at the Genius Bar, for a brand new machine they should just give you a new machine for this particular issue.
