Hello. I'm new to the forum. Yesterday a friend of mine gave to me a Policarbonate Macbook (mid 2010) with no working keyboard. Upon opening it up because i had to change the thermal paste, i have seen a burnt conponent. Its located near a capacitor and near an IC named "K0384" wich is near the battery and keyboard connector area. I did find the schematics for the motherboard but i didn't find the K0384 near any schematic. I think it's because of the burned component the keyboard doesn't work, even if i power up the pc in the dark, the caps lock key led does light up. Would you plase tell me the code of the burned component? I'm sending some photos of the component and the intrested area. The model of the motherboard is "K87". Sorry if my english isn't that good. Greetings From Italy!

Not your burnt chip, but as for K0384:

RJK0384DPA Silicon N Channel Power MOS FET with Schottky Barrier Diode High Speed Power Switching

Aehm, i already reinstalled it. Tommorow i will open it again and post a photo of the board number.

I found the same 2.4ghz board on AliExpress. The part numer is 820-2877-B, but i'm gonna check my board tomorrow.

I removed the motherboard again and checked the number, i confirm that's 820-2877-B

It'a a 47uf 6,3V tantalum capacitor . One pin it's ground and the other one should have 5V ( PP5V_S3 ).Look for boardview for that model,it will be more easy to identify the components.
Good luck.

Thank you very much! I'm going to ask my cousin if he can help me change that component, because i don't have a hot air station.
