So, if apple decide to discontinue the non-retina macbook pros, could we see a return of the macbook, in a similar move to the iPhone and iPhone [C]

Could we see apple bringing back the plastic macbooks, or will the air remain the sole 'consumer' model avaliable from apple?
 
The Airs are the non-pro models. I doubt we see a rebranding of the cMBP.

But I really hope the cMBP do NOT go away. Too much need for people to have built in ethernet, and the ability to have > 500Gigs of storage without pay $3K - IMHO
 
The laptop market is dwindling and being cannibalized by tablets. Why would Apple throw money at such a small market to do this?
