MacBook C2D - Production Dates

Is it at all possible to have a MacBook 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo to have a production date in week 39 of 2006?

I'm looking to buy a used MacBook from someone locally, although his serial number indicates it was made in week 39 or '06. The other red flag coing up is he says his 2.0 GHz C2D has a 60GB HDD (the C2D 2.0GHz has 80 GB standard).

That's like a month before the announcement. It might be possible but it would be one of the first, I would think.

Guy is crazy, he sent me a screenshot of About This Mac & System Profiler and it says right there on both as clear as day 'Intel Core Duo'.
