I have noticed that my MacBook C2D running Mac OS X 10.4.8 that I got for Christmas is running somewhat slower lately. Is there anything clean ups or things to make it run faster? Anything equivalent to like a defrag or so? Thanks for the help.

I have the macbook C2D also (my first mac), and I read something online saying supposedly that macs don't need to be defragmented like peecees do.

Luckily I haven't had any problems with it slowing down though...

I don't know what to say...how much of the HD have you filled up?

Maybe backup to an external via SuperDuper. Fresh install of OSX. Then backup from external via SuperDuper again. Though I would do this as a last resort..

Also, I guess I should say its more the browser that is running slow...like loading links I click on and stuff not necesarily the whole computer.
