MacBook Case Cracked?

Yeah, well my MacBook has had a cracked along the right palm rest, right above the sleep indicator. Just today, however it completely seperated from the case. From futher inspection, I see that it was probably caused by the line of plastic on the screen damaging the case when it is closed, probably due to how hard the mac closes with the magnet. I looked on the internet and found this thread on Apple Support forums. Anyone here have this problem? Do you think Apple will replace this?

yeah, i got that crack on both sides of my macbook, after about 8 months. I took it to an apple authorised service thingy, and got it fixed under warranty, no problem
