Hello all,
Will a retina Macbook Pro 13 inch case/shell fit a late 2011 Macbook Pro 13 inch? I know the dimensions are similar and my school store has a clearance on retina shells. Much cheaper than my regular 13'' pro. :(

I wouldn't think so, the thickness is quite a bit different.... i can barely squeeze my 15" rmbp into the 15" retina case by speck

I don't believe it will work. The cMBP is thicker than the rMBP, and it has ports on one side and the superdrive on the other whereas the rMBP has ports on both sides and vents on the bottom. I also believe that the dimensions of the rMBP are slightly smaller.

I wouldn't recommend this. You'll only waste your money. Save up for an actual cMBP case or wait for a sale on them.

A rMBP shell will not fit a cMBP, plain and simple. I would look at Overstock as they have some snap-on shells for under $20. I am not sure of the quality though.
