Macbook CD drive broken

Hey, When I put CDs of any type in my macbook, the computer spits it right out. It stays inside for a bit and then comes out again. I have a macbook 10.4.11

What are my options? Im sure if I repair my mac its going to be a big bill. How about if I got an external CD drive? Which ones are good that would be compatible with my macbook?

My macbook is three years old. Thanks.
 
Go to ebay and order another macbook drive like the UJ-857-C and install it yourself. You can find the instructions at ifixit.com. Any USB or firewire 400 external drive would work fine.
