Hi there
i've tried searching the forums but most of the problems from users are about how CD's are spat back out or come out scratch

About a week ago after importing a CD into itunes I tried to eject the disc, however after making a variety of noises nothing happens.
It then asks me if i would like to import the CD again, meaning there isnt a problem with the drive, just the mechinism.
I dont have applcare so apple dosn't want to know, has anybody out there had that problem? How much did it cost to repair? and most importantly, did they have to replace the whole drive?

Cheers, Shaun

Have you tried tilting the laptop sideways to use gravity as an aid to get it out? That worked for me on my sister's blackbook once, and the drive never acted up again.

Not sure about repair prices, maybe someone else can jump in.
