I have been looking for a CDMA modem that works with my MacBook. I have found many that work with PCs, some for as low as 30 US$, but none for Macs.

I am not from USA, so locked carrier plans wont be a solution.

I actually need a dongle that will go into my MacBook's USB port and let me connect to the internet via CDMA 1X network. We dont have broadband as its kinda remote around where I stay.

I will use a RUIM card from a local provider. As for the dongle, I dont even know any manufacturer that sells Mac OS supported dongles.

Just throwing this out there, there will not be any modems from the US that will work, as no US CDMA carriers support RUIM cards, they use is Electronic Serial Numbers (ESN).

What country are you from? Who is your provider?

^ Is it? I mean people might be selling GSM / CDMA modems somewhere?

I am from Nepal, I will be using Nepal Telecom's CDMA service. I have the RUIM.
